Micro Draco Handguard (Model 1)

$70.89 SGD

A 3D Printed Micro Draco Handguard made from PLA+

Designed by us and tested extensively, held up with no deformation after 500 rounds and 3 full mags of rapid fire.

This class of handguards should be considered a "budget" option, in that the product will hold up well for what you pay, but as its plastic it’s not invincible.

It will work perfectly fine for range days, backpack carry and the likes...I cannot recommend you deploy to a warfront with this but you can do what you want.

WARNING & NOTE

The PLA+ used has a "glassing" temperature (where it becomes some enough to mold" around 140 degrees...however it will not melt until 400 degrees both of these specs are for 1.75mm in length.

With a standard spec profile barrel at 10 rounds a minute continuously, in 280 rounds, the area right behind in between the breech swell and the front sight will stabilize at about 500 degrees F....the area where the handguard is fixed to should not exceed 350 degrees.

This handguard has enough PLA buildup to withstand regular firing just based on its thickness (about an inch) HOWEVER when exposed to ambient heat exceeing 140 for long periods of time (this can warp...in additon if you are doing extensive round shooting (500+) you will need to be careful as the top 1/4 inch of your handgaurd will be plyable until it cools (PLA cools rapidly).

If you need a duty grade handguard - please purchase from https://slrrifleworks.com/ak-3-7-micro-for-romanian-draco/ Currenty costing $220 as their builds are full metal and not subject to the limitations of my budget friendly builds.
